Facts to practise
How the test works
The test picks 10 random facts from the 2 to the 12 times tables. Type the answer and press Check, or Enter. At the end you see how many you got right and which facts to practise.
What a good score looks like
Getting 8 or more right means the tables are well on their way. Fast answers matter too: in many schools children are expected to recall a times table fact in a few seconds, without counting.
How to get better at times tables tests
- Practise a little every day instead of a lot once a week.
- Say the whole fact, "7 times 8 is 56", not only the answer.
- Work on the facts you missed first: they are the ones that move your score.
- Once you know a table, practise against a clock to make it automatic.
